Roy Lawrence Webster

Roy Lawrence Webster, age 73, of Owenton, passed away July 7th, 2026. Born October 12th, 1952, in Owen County, Kentucky, he was the son of Walter Webster and Catherine Fendler Webster.

Roy devoted his career to nursing, as a Certified Nursing Assistant, he offered care wherever he could, including the Owenton Hospital and the Owenton Manor. His love for nature and animals shone through while taking his sons on trips to places like Mammoth Cave and various national parks. He also had a special place in his heart for turtles and frogs and would often keep trinkets and jewelry showcasing his admiration for them. Roy was also dedicated to his community, volunteering many hours to helping the Owen County Food Pantry. He also had a passion for Elvis music and would listen to his songs whenever he could, including one of his favorites, "Jailhouse Rock".

Roy leaves behind a loving family, including his sons, Edward Webster, Joshua Webster, And Corey Webster. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Hayden Webster, Kaitlyn Webster, and Owen Webster. He is preceded in death by his wife, the love of his life, Brenda Furnish Webster, as well as his siblings, Ricky Webster and Marie Brumback.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, July 10th, 2026, from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm, with burial in the Owenton Cemetery.
