Roy L. Burford

Roy Lee Burford, 87 of Owenton passed away on June 22 at the Owenton Manor. He was the son of the late Bryon and Ethel Kenney Burford. He was the husband of the late Mildred Wainscott Burford. Roy was a Farmer and a member of the First Baptist Church in Owenton. He is survived by two sons; James Kenney Burford of Williamstown and Danny Burford of Owenton. One daughter; Linda Acree of Owenton. One brother; Marvin Burford of Owenton. Also surviving are three grandchildren; Stehanie Wilson, Lynn Brooks, Laura Lee Burford-Oliver. Five great-grabdchildren; Lee Wilson, Ashely Wilson, Sierra Wilson, Zachary Brooks and Sarah Brooks. Roy was also preceded in death by his daughter; Brenda Burford, One brother; LeLand Burford and a sister; Martha Jane Cook. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 2pm at the McDonald and New Funeral Home on Seminary Street. Visitation will begin at 11am Monday. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
