Rosemary Prather

Born May 7, 1953 in the Poplar Grove Community of Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Allen Lee Roberts and Dorothy Miller Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Danny Dale Prather and her infant sister, Patricia Roberts. Rosemary was retired from Owenton Manor as a dietary aide. She was a devoted member of the Owenton Church of Christ, she loved writing poetry, singing and dancing and spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her children, Rebecca (Steve) Preston and Steven Prather; grandchildren, Christopher, Daniel, Lukus and Isaiah; her siblings, Melinda Ingram, Donna Roberts, Shirley (David) Gerth and Scott (Pamela) Roberts. She is also survived by her dear friend, Crystal (Larry) Breeden.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Owenton Church of Christ on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 11am until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Bill Dayton presiding. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Owenton Church of Christ.
