Rosemary Anderson Estes

RoseMary Anderson Estes, age 78, passed away on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the Gallatin Healthcare. Born August 6, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Willard Harrison and Pearl Noel Anderson and was also preceded in death by her brothers, George Willard “Bubby” Anderson, James William “Billy” Anderson; Hubert Anderson and Rollie Hayden Anderson. Mrs. Estes was the co-owner of Owenton Cleaners and a member of the Owenton First Christian Church. Surviving are her husband, whom she married on September 26, 1950, Bobby Gene Estes; four daughters, Brenda (Jerry) Handy of Owenton; Linda (Wayne) Byrd of Harrodsburg; Ann (Jim) Daniel of Frankfort and Norma (Maurice Ray) Smither of Lexington. Nine grandchildren; Jerry, Bobby, Tammy, Michael, Chrissy, Brandon, Aaron, Jimmie and Sherry; eleven great grandchildren; Ashley, Tabitha, Drew, Anna, Cale, Abram, Brandon, Lily, Sarah, Caleb, Blake, Kaelin, Tyler and Emersyn and one great-great grandchild, Hayden also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Tuesday, November 8 from 11am to 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Flowers are welcome while memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.
