Ronald "Ronnie" Lewis Chappell

Mr. Ronald Lewis "Ronnie" Chappell, age 71, of Owenton, passed away Monday, October 27, 2014 at Baptist Health in Lexington. Born June 27, 1943 in Woodford County, he was the son of the late Richard Hayes and Trudy Hill Chappell. He was also preceded in death by his son, Darryl Lewis Chappell, his brother, Richard Hayes "Dickie" Chappell, Jr. and his sister, Rita Faye Duvall. Ronnie was a brewer at National Distillery, a lifelong farmer and owned and operated his own excavating business. He was a member of the Dallasburg Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Bettie Lusby Chappell; his son, Dwayne Chappell; his brothers, Jerry Wayne Chappell and David Allen Chappell. His five grandchildren, Brandon, Emilee, Brittany, Justin and Nicole and his six great grandchildren Cohen, Houston, Case, Blake, JuCole and Jayda also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, October 29th from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 11am on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Wheatley Masonic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Dallasburg Baptist Church.
