Ronald Reed Rice

Ronald Reed Rice, 77, passed away Sunday September 15 at his home. He was born in Owen County the son of the late Lewis and Evelyn Spurryer Rice. He was also preceded by his siblings, Anna Lois Stuard, Don and Charles Rice. He was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church, loved fishing, guns and knives. He was a lifelong farmer. Surviving are his son, J.R.Hughes and step son Tim Woodyard and his granddaughter, Marissa Hughes. The funeral will be on Thursday September 19 at 1PM at McDonald & New - Main St. Visitation begins at Noon and burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
