Rodney Rose, age 59 of Owen County, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 9, 2026.
He was born on September 26th, 1966, in Covington, Ky, to the late Dillard Rose and Shirley Abner Rose.
Rodney spent his career as an electrician and was dedicated to his craft for many years. He was a part of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, one of the largest electrical unions in North America. What he truly loved was to spend time on his farm hunting, fishing, and enjoying the peace and simplicity it provided to him, especially when he was able to watch the hummingbirds. Rodney was passionate about horses, training and riding brought him tremendous joy. He was a member of the National Wild Turkey Federation and attended many youth hunts, showcasing his love for wildlife and skillful hunting. Rodney was also known for his love for Diet Mountain Dew, and and how he would have one whenever he got the chance.
He is survived by his siblings, Allen Rose and Ramona Rose; and his nieces, Reagan Hearn, Amanda Griffin, and Elizabeth Boothe.
New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, July 17th, 2026, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm. Memorial services will follow at 2:00 pm.
Memorial contributions are suggested to the National Wild Turkey Federation.
