Robert Allen Wilhoite, Sr.

Born October 18, 1965, in Owenton, he was the son of the late Milton Chrisman Wilhoite and Doris Barber Wilhoite. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Melvin, Donnie, and Richard Wilhoite, Jane Sorrell, Shirley Wilson and Linda Workman. Robert was a mechanic and a carpenter with the Louisville Carpenters Union Local 64. He loved being out doors, fishing and hunting and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife, Glenda Lyons Wilhoite; his sons, Benjamin McClain, Jr. and Robert Allen Wilhoite, Jr.; grandchildren, Kourtney, Piper and James Hunter McClain; his siblings, Wade Wilhoite, Julie Adams, Rena Sullivan and Gladys Garnett; his mother in law, Shirley Lyons and several nieces and nephews, including Dorothy Wilson and Summer Garnett.
McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, November 28, 2018 from 10am until 1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with burial in the Mt. Minish Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Homes.
