ROBERT DARRYL TRAYLOR

July 31, 1937 - November 4, 2021

Robert (Bobby) began his eternal life with Jesus November 4, 2021. Bobby and Shirley Kincaid established an earthly home on July 28, 1956, celebrating 65 years of marriage on July 28, 2021. They were blessed with son, Darryl Todd and daughter-in-law, Susan – daughter, Dana Lynn and son-in-law, Charles (Chuck) Gill – grandchildren: Brooke Ashton Traylor Kapfhammer and husband, Robert – Kendall O’Toole and husband, Danny – Blake Cameron Traylor and Charles Landon Gill (deceased) – Lindsay Paige Gill Smith and husband, Ty - Alli Lynn Gill – three great-grandchildren: Reese Maelynn O’Toole, Beckham Robert O’Toole, and Blakely Sinclair Kapfhammer – mother-in-law, Ethel Kincaid

Bobby was always a faithful Baptist Church member, serving in membership at New Liberty Baptist Church (deacon), Latonia Baptist Church, Dallasburg Baptist Church, and currently an active member of Owenton First Baptist Church. He was especially blessed in attending his Sunday School Class with his SPECIAL FRIENDS and taught by Bob Cull.

Being the son of two school teachers, E. G. and Martha Traylor, ( both deceased) he was always interested in local education and served on Owen County School Board sixteen years, 1974 – 1990. He also served as Trustee of Kentucky School Boards Insurance Trust – 1987-1989.

With interest in banking, Bobby was a director for both Citizens Bank, New Liberty and First Farmers Bank, Owenton.

Although employed by Dow Corning, Carrollton, for twenty-nine years he continued to enjoy the land of his farm in New Liberty until moving to Owenton, KY in 2005.

His friendly, loving SMILE will be missed by many.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at Owenton First Baptist Church on Monday, November 8, 2021 from Noon until 3 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 3 pm with Bro. Brad Banks presiding.  Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
