Robert "Peck" Osborne

Robert “Peck” Osborne, 92, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, March 21, 2009, at the Owenton Manor. Born June 15, 1916, in Owen Co, he was the son of the late Johnson and Winnie Steger Osborne. He was the widow of Elizabeth Stewart Osborne and was preceded in death by siblings, Mable Smith, Florence Perry and Porter Osborne. Peck was an auto mechanic, a member of the Concord Baptist Church and a former fire chief for the Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department. Peck is survived by his daughter; Winnie Osborne Stewart; two grandchildren, John (Donna) Stewart and Carla (Roger) Combs; two great grandchildren Liz Riddle and Kaylan Stewart and one great granddaughter Emily Riddle all of Owenton. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, March 24th, from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday. Burial will be in Jonesville Cemetery with Bro. Jesse Bourne Officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Concord Baptist Church or Jonesville Volunteer Fire Department.
