Robert L. "Bob" Osborne, 64, passed away at his home on December 14, 2019 after a dignified battle with ALS. He was born in Madison, IN the son of the late Louis Johnson and Margaret Ellen Bailey Osborne. After graduating high school he attended both Roane State and Kentucky Wesleyan for two years each graduating from Kentucky Wesleyan. He went on to receive his Masters from N.K.U. Bob taught at Owen Co. Elementary and coached girls high school basketball for a combined 37 year career. He also coached girls softball and boys baseball. He was also active in his community serving on the Owenton City Council, Parks and Recreation, Lions Club, and the Owen County Children's Fund Board. He was a member of Owenton First Baptist Church. In His spare time he enjoyed painting. He is survived by his wife Linda Bunger Osborne, son, Matthew and wife Mandy Osborne, daughter, Sarah and husband Shannon Gregory, sister, Rita and husband Bob Coates, brother, Brian and wife Lisa Osborne and his four grandchildren, Miles, Ella, Molly and Paige. Burial will follow in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the ALS Association Kentucky Chapter, Bluegrass Care Navigators or Owen Co. Children's Fund.
