Robert Allen Kelly

Robert Allen Kelly, age 62, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the Hospice Care Center at St. Joseph Hospital in Lexington.

Born December 7, 1958, in Lexington, he was the son of the late Everett Chrisman and Anna Louise Wheeler House. He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Tommy, Roger, Paul, Sheila, Nettie, and Brenda. Robert was a tractor-trailer mechanic who loved riding his motorcycle. He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, and playing Bingo.  He also enjoyed listening to gospel music.

He is survived by his wife Belinda Johnson Kelly, they were married on December 21, 1976; his children, Amy Herring, Shawna Wright, and Robert Kelly, Jr.; his grandchildren, Bethany Kelly, Robert Kelly, III, Colby Wright, Corey Wright, Hailee Kelly, Marissa Kelly, and Ryan Kelly; four great-grandchildren, Addie, Olivia, Ryland, and Noah; and his siblings, Benjamin Kelly, Shirley Morton, and Barbara Means.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 11 am until 2 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with Bro. Sean Waldrop presiding. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park in Lexington on Friday..
