Robert Huey Jr.

Robert Huey, age 79 and a resident of Custer Ky, passed away Monday, August 1st at his home in Custer. Born October of 1931 he was the son of the late Robert Hower Huey and Stella Mae Raisor Huey. Robert was also preceded in death by his wife, Flossie Mae Lucas Huey and two brothers: John and William "Billy" Huey. Robert was a truck driver and Served in the Army during the Korean War. During his military service, he was awarded two purple hearts for his dedication to his country. He is survived by three sons: William Huey (wife Julie) of Custer Ky, Shane Huey (wife Vicky) of Madison IN, and Shawne Huey (wife Holly) of Patriot, IN. Eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren also survive. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4th, from 4 until 8pm at the Main Street location. Funeral services will begin Friday at 1pm. Burial will follow in the Hebron Lutheran Cemetery in Hebron Ky.
