Robert House

Robert Richard House, age 93, of Owenton, passed away Monday, September 25, 2017 at the Owenton Center.Born August 18, 1924 in Owen County, he was the son of the late Jesse B. and Rosa Stewart House.  He was the widower of Loretta Mae Devers House, the mother of his children and also Billie Nunn House.  He was preceded in death by his son, Billy House; granddaughter, Bridgette Smith; two brothers, four sisters.  Bob was a life long farmer and worked at Old Grand Dad Distillery.  He was a member of the Harmony Baptist Church and served his country in the United States Navy from 1943 - 1946.Survivors include his children, Ricky (Barbara) House, Larry (Ernestine) House, Judy (Jody) Hambrick, Pam (Ed) Seale, Jennifer (David) Cornett, Timmy (Bonita) House and Jonathan (Ulanna) House; 23 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, September 25, 2017 from 5-8pm.  Funeral services will be held at 11am, Wednesday with Bro. Bob Miller presiding.  Burial will be in the Stamping Ground Masonic Cemetery.
