Robert "Bobby" Groves

Robert A. “Bobby” Groves, age 69 and a resident of Warsaw, passed away Monday, March 15th, at the Hospice Care Center of Northern KY. Born September 29, 1940 in Glencoe, KY he was the son of the late Henry Clay and Mabel Edens Groves. He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Jimmy and Henry Groves and a sister Betty Hill. Bobby was a retired foreman for the Trenwa Company in Warsaw, a member of the Gallatin County Lions Club, Good Guys Club and Glencoe Church of Christ and served in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Lois O’Connor Groves, three sons, Jeff Groves of Glencoe, Shennon Groves of Bowling Green and Tommy O’Connor of Glencoe, three sisters, Mary Louise Beach of Newport, Bonnie Lou Edmondson of Crittenden and Carolyn Jean Henderson of Erlanger, one brother, Gary Groves of Warsaw, two “just like daughters”, Bonnie Bishop and Miranda Sanders. Five grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Friday, March 19th from 4 to 8pm at the Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home in Warsaw. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Warsaw Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Bluegrass.
