Richard W. Cobb

Richard W. Cobb, age 66, of Owenton, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010, at the University of KY Chandler Medical Center. Born April 23, 1944, he was the son of Richard “Newt” and Elizabeth Lucille Toole Cobb. Richard was a farmer, a 29-year employee of National Distillers and a member of Cedar Hill Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife Nancy Hammond Cobb; his son, Tim (Shannon) Cobb; his daughters, Shannon (Brian) Eads and Chasity (Willie) Farrar; three brothers, Robert Bruce Cobb, Paul Cameron Cobb and Barry Craig Cobb; five sisters, Mary Lou Beasley, Cynthia Ann Hall, Sarah June Jacobs, Clarissa Kay Young and Paulette Elizabeth Tolbert. Five grandchildren, Devon, Chamberlin, Darby, Nathan and Ethan also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Saturday, December 18th from 11am to 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with David “Milkweed” Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Monterey Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Meeting the Needs Mission in care of Owenton First Baptist Church.
