Rex Dean Stafford

Rex Dean Stafford, 83 of Owenton passed away Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at his residence. Born March 15, 1930, he was the son of the late Walker L. and Margaret Rees Stafford. He was also preceded in death by his two brothers, James Rees Stafford and Walker Lee Stafford. Rex was a foreman for the State Highway Department, a Korean War Air Force Veteran and a member of the Owenton First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Dean Hundley Stafford; his son; Rex Dean Stafford II of Steamboat Springs, CO; two daughters Candace (Brad) Hornbeck of Frankfort and Kitty (Tim) Cammack of Owenton; three grandchildren, Kevin Blayton Stafford, Noah Rees Cammack and Nash Curtis Cammack and two great grandchildren, Brayden and Kayleigh Stafford. Also surviving are his brother, Jerry Stafford of Worthville and his sister, Helen Pike of Middletown, VA. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Owenton First Baptist Church on Saturday, January 4th from 11am until 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
