Rev. Thomas E. Dail

Rev. Thomas E. Dail, 67, of Lexington, passed away Friday, October 3, 2014 at the St. Joseph Hospice Care Center. Born October 23, 1946, in Wilmington, NC, he was the son of the late Mildred Stancil Dail and Archie M. Dail, Sr. He was also preceded in death by his brother Archie Dail, Jr. and nephew Larry Dail. Rev. Dail received his education at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville and Trinity Bible College in Dunedin, FL. He pastored for 27 years in Florida and Kentucky. Survivors include his wife of 40 years, Faye Dail; two daughters, Melissa (Jeremy) Wilder of Louisville and LaRaine (Jeff) Rice of Lexington; six grandchildren, Elizabeth and Christopher Rice and Bethany, Noah, Jared and Felicia Wilder; two sisters, Nancy Long and Betty Lou St. Clair of Wilmington, NC; eight nephews and two nieces. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangemetns. Family will receive friends at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 7th from Noon until 2 pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Dale Adkins, Bro. Larry Adkins and Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
