Randy Lee Smoot

Randy Lee Smoot, age 56, died unexpectedly Monday, January 11, 2021, at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center.

Born October 11, 1964, in Owenton, KY he was the son of the late Elton and Opal Hawkins Smoot. He retired from Ideal Farm Supply. Randy owned R & S Parts Sales and was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He loved his family, spending time with them and especially traveling to Tennessee with them. He enjoyed participating in truck pulls, cooking, and hosting fish frys.

He is survived by his wife, Pam Hensley Smoot; his children Amanda (Matt) Selm, DJ (Melinda) Harris, and JJ (Ann) Morgan; his grandchildren, Austin, Blair, Timmy, Katelynn, Colton, Charlotte, and Meredith; his great-grandchildren, Braxton, Bryce, Brenton, and Caiden. He is also survived by his brother Roy Gayle Smoot.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location, on Thursday, January 14, 2021, from 11 am until 2 pm. This will be a pass-thru visitation with limited capacity, masks, and social distancing required. Funeral services will follow at 2 pm with limited seating available.  Bro. Dale Adkins will preside with burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church.
