Ralph Hayden Toole

Ralph Hayden Toole, age 83, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Thompson-Hood Veteran's Center in Wilmore, KY.

Born June 15, 1939, in Owen County, he was the son of the late James Paul and Anna Catherine Sharon Toole and was preceded in death by his siblings, Thomas Toole, James Lewis Toole, Virginia Joseph, and Alice Rose. Ralph proudly served his country in the United States Army, qualifying as a sharpshooter, before marrying the love of his life in 1963, Patsy Ann Prather Toole. Before and after his time in the service he worked for Fedders Feed Store.  In 1973 he and Patsy began Family Billiards, known affectionately to many as "The Pool Room".  They served in this capacity for over 34 years. He was a devoted member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, where he served as both a trustee and deacon. He enjoyed playing pool, fishing, and watching NASCAR, especially Dale Earnhart.

Ralph will be deeply missed by his wife of over 59 years, Patsy Prather Toole; his son, Paul (Michelle) Toole; his sisters, Judy (Danny) Jacobs, Jacqueline (Walter) Sageser, and Mary Cheek; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends on Sunday, February 26, 2023, from 4 - 8 pm at the Main Street location.  Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Monday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
