Phyllis Ann Webster

Phyllis Ann Woosley Webster, age 80, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2024, at her home.

Born April 2, 1944, in Owsley County, she was the daughter of the late Bill Woosley, O. D. and Dorothy Maddox Withrow.  She was the widow of Thomas S. Webster who she married on December 27, 1961. Phyllis was retired from the Commonwealth of Kentucky where she was Director of Personnel in the Department of Education.  After retirement, she worked for the Owen County Government Transit Program,  driving many people to appointments around the area. She will be remembered as a talented softball player, playing for multiple teams, many at the same time. Phyllis also enjoyed raising a garden and canning the bounty of that garden. Fishing and camping were among her favorite pastimes, too.

She will be missed by her son, Gregory (Candi) Webster; her grandchildren, Heather, Krystal, Gregory, Tabita, Travis, Aaron, and J.R.; several great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Dennis Withrow, Linda Dampier, and Lynn Withrow. She was preceded in death by her siblings, David, Dorcas, and Norman Dale Withrow.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside services will be held at 1 pm on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Webster Farm. Bro. David "Milkweek" Wotier will preside.
