Phyllis Ann Smith

Lockport –Phyllis Ann Smith, 61, of Lockport died Sunday morning at the Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington. Born January 2, 1947, in Henry County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Thomas and Rosie Mae Tharp Chadwell. Phyllis was a homemaker and a member of the Gratz Baptist Church She is survived by her fiance, Donnie Arnold; her son, Floyd Henry Smith, Jr. of Owenton; two daughters, Lisa Stewart of Carrollton and Stella M. Goodrich of Gratz; six brothers, Tommy Chadwell of Ghent, Leonard Chadwell of Lexington, Sammy Chadwell of Monterey, Ronnie Chadwell of Carrollton, Donnie Chadwell of Lexington and Allen Ray Chadwell; three sisters, Helen King of Carrollton, Judy Carter of Owenton and Peggy Chadwell of Carrollton. Seven Grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, from 5pm –8 pm at the Main Street location of McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 2pm. Burial will be in Mt. Minish Cemetery.
