Peggy Joyce Judy-Moore

Mrs. Peggy Joyce Judy-Moore, age 59 of Owenton, passed away Thursday, December 11, 2014 at her residence. Born July 8, 1955 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Curtis and Joyce Bishop Judy. Peggy was a member of Camp Pleasant Baptist Church and was a retired social worker for the Department of Human Resources. She was a graduate of Owen County High School and while attending Cumberland University was a featured soloist on a Chorale Tour in Europe. She also worked as a tax specialist with the Department of Revenue. Surviving are her her husband, Danny Moore, and her siblings, Rod Calendar, Renee Coghill and Ruth Ann Judy. Two nephews and nine nieces also survive. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location from 4-8pm Sunday, December 14, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Monday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the New Horizons Medical Center.
