Though her memories may have faded, our love for her remains. On March 16, 2024, Peggy Sue Bishop Ford, 78, was welcomed by her Heavenly Father and free from the grips of dementia.
Peggy was born on October 27, 1945, on Big Twin Creek in Owen County, to the late Wallace Bishop and Wilma Reeves (Cobb).
Peggy was a source of warmth and affection, her love extending effortlessly to her cherished sisters, her beloved cousin, and most profoundly, to her two sons and grandchildren. She was the epitome of family devotion, always putting the needs of her loved ones above her own. Peggy was always welcoming to family, friends, and a dog that may need a home. She cared for many in her career as a nurse and office assistant. She was a genuine friend who loved a good laugh and was a great encourager to many.
Peggy leaves to mourn her passing her sons Michael (Melissa) David and Matthew (Sarah) David. Grandchildren Lilly, Merideth, Emily, Micah, and Molly. Sisters Janetta (Darrell) Keith and Bonnie (Bill) Mathis, her beloved cousin and best friend, Rita Ann (Charlie) Richardson; nephews, Aaron (Gwen) Alexander, Andy (Abby) Alexander, and Seth (Jessica) Keith; and a host of other great nieces and nephews, close family as well as friends.
New Funeral Home will oversee arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Thursday, March 21, 2024, from 4 - 8pm. Funeral services will be Friday, March 22, 2024, at 2PM with Michael and Matthew David presiding.
