Pearl E. "Sis" Ashcraft

Pearl E. “Sis” Ashcraft, 86, passed away Saturday, April 9th, at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. She was the daughter of the late Ralph and Eunice Criswell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Owen P. Ashcraft Sr.; one daughter: Connie Stewart, three brothers and two sisters. Pearl was a member of the Cedar Hill Baptist Church and was a retired employee of the Owen County Memorial Hospital. She is survived by three sons: Owen Ashcraft Jr of Carrollton, Arlin Wayne Ashcraft of Louisville, and James Wesley Ashcraft (Linda) of Jackson, TN; three sisters: Gladys Fitzgerald of Perry Park, Lou Ann Wainscott of Owenton and Patsy of Georgetown. Six grandchildren and Seven great grandchildren also survive. Visitation will be held Tuesday, April 12th from 4 until 8pm, at the Seminary Street location of McDonald and New Funeral Homes. Funeral services will begin Wednesday at 11am and will be held at the funeral home. Rev. Jesse Bourne will be officiating. Burial will follow in the Owenton I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the American Heart Association.
