Peachcake Richardson

Edgbert 'Peachcake' Richardson, age 75, of Sparta passed away Friday, March 3, 2017 at Gallatin Healthcare. Born February 22, 1942 in Waco, KY he was the son of the late Nettie Kate and Henry Clay Richardson and preceded in death by his brothers, Garnett, Jason and Ernest Richardson. Peachcake was a lifelong farmer. Surviving are his wife Betty Delaney Richardson whom he married on April 7, 1972; his son, Chad Allen Clay Richardson (wife Trisha) and his grandchildren, Hunter and Emmaleigh Richardson. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, March 6, 2017 from 4-8 pm. Funeral services will be held at 1pm Tuesday with Bro. Pat Butcher presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Alzheimers Association or Hospice of the Bluegrass.
