Paulette Elizabeth Cobb Tolbert

Paulette Elizabeth Cobb Tolbert, 65, of Owenton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 26th, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family. Born June 15th, 1960, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late R.C. "Newt" Cobb and Lucille Toole Cobb, and the widow of Timothy Tolbert. 

Paulette was a 1978 graduate of Owen County High School. She worked at Family Billiards for more than 11 years, as well as at other establishments around town, where she made many lifelong friends. The one accomplishment she was most proud of was her daughter, Allison. She delighted in being a stay-at-home mom for her. 

She is survived by her daughter, Allison Virginia Tolbert, of Owenton. Four sisters, Sarah Jacobs and Clarissa Young, both of Owenton. Cindy Hall (John) of Lawrenceburg and Mollie Brewsaugh (Steve) of West Chester, Ohio. Three brothers, Robert Bruce Cobb (Carolyn), Paul Cameron Cobb (Louanne), her lifetime "twin", of Owenton, and Barry Craig Cobb (Tammy) of Frankfort.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Richard Wayne Cobb, and sister Mary Lou Beasley.

Visitation will be held at the First Christian Church, Owenton, on Saturday, March 7th, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. A memorial service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. Tina Glosson officiating. Afterwards, a portion of Paulettes ashes will be spread at Severn Creek, with the remaining portion to be laid to rest alongside her husband, Timmy, at the Mussel Shoals Cemetery
