Paul D. Wright

Paul D. Wright, age 62, of Carrollton, KY, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at Signature Healthcare surrounded by his family.

Born February 2, 1959, in Owen County, KY, he was the son of the late J.T. and Helen Davis Wright. He was also preceded in death by his sister, Judy Ann Wright, his nephew, Stacy Wright, and his great-niece Emma Wright. Paul was a lifelong farmer and also a stocker for Wal-Mart. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing. He was an avid UK Wildcats Basketball fan and a proud member of the Clifton Drag Racing Team.

Paul will be missed by all of his siblings, Eddie (Dottie) Wright, Mary (Jimmy) Wilson, J.W. (Linda) Wright, Linda (Marvin) Lewis, Barbara (Larry) Moore, and Don Wright.  He is also survived by several aunts, many nieces and nephews, and his Wal-Mart co-workers who he considered a second family.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Sunday, November 7, 2021, from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11am with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to the James Brown Cancer Center in Louisville.
