Patty A. Shirley

Patricia "Patty" Ann Shirley, age 74, of Glencoe, passed away Sunday, December 6, 2020 at Gallatin Nursing & Rehab in Warsaw, KY.

Born May 13, 1946, in Carrollton, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Virginia Sutherland Gullion and preceded in death by her brother, William "Billy" Howard Gullion.  Patty loved the Lord and was a devoted member of the Sparta Christian Church where she enjoyed singing and teaching Sunday school.  She was a member of the Gallatin County Homemakers and enjoyed crocheting. She loved reading mystery novels, spending time with her family and being 'Nana' to her grandchildren. She will be remembered for her wonderful laugh.

She will be missed by her husband of over 34 years, Steven Shirley; her children, Joshua Shirley of Hanover, IN, Lorenda (David) White of Gallatin County and Timothy (Shelia) Davis of Glencoe; three grandchildren, Patrick Davis, Renda (Joe) Slone and Audrey White and well as her great-granddaughter Aurora Slone.

Serving as pallbearers will be Sidney Gullion, David White, Joe Slone, Jacob Lucas, Patrick Davis and Robert Reynolds.  Honorary bearers will be Dudley Gullion, Ed Brown, Walter Sutherland, Jr., Camilla "KK" Patton and Dennis Davis.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Private services will be held on Friday with burial in the Poplar Grove Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Gallatin County Food Pantry or St. Elizabeth Hospice.
