Patricia "Pat" Riddle Miller

Patricia "Pat" Riddle Miller, age 78, of Owenton, passed away on Monday, December 23, 2024, from injuries sustained in an accident. Born on February 20, 1946, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence B. and Anna Lee Coleman Riddle and the widow of Orville Miller, whom she married on March 26, 1966. Her brothers, Lawrence, Jackey, Bobby, and Jerry Riddle, preceded her in death.

Pat was a devout member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and retired from Schlumberger. She went on to make a ministry out of being a loving caregiver, caring for dozens of Owen County residents for over 40 years and ensuring they always had their favorite foods. Pat loved her community dearly and always found ways to serve. In her younger years, she was a talented pitcher for her church league softball team and helped create a coed league for the youth of the community. Pat adored her family, especially being Mamaw to her grandchildren. She took great pride in helping her nieces and nephews obtain their driver's licenses by using her car for their tests. Pat also rarely missed a Lady Rebels Basketball game.

She will be missed by her children, Oletta (Jeff) Wright and Kevin (Robin) Miller; her grandchildren, Ashley (Brian) Sebree, Kaylee (Austin) Fitzgerald, and Jake (Nicole) Jones; her great-grandchildren, Henry and Eliza Jones, and Hadley Fitzgerald; her siblings, Larry Riddle, Billy Riddle, FaDana Bramblett, Charlotte Gibson, and Sandra Walker; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Monday, December 30, 2024, from 4 - 8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Tuesday with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding.  Pat will be laid to rest by her beloved husband Orville, in the Owenton Cemetery. Those wishing to make a memorial contribution in her honor are encouraged to choose either an Owen County charity of choice or Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
