Pansy Lou Harris

Pansy Lou Harris, age 80, of Owenton, passed away at her home on Sunday, April 7, 2024.

Born October 18, 1943, in Dry Ridge, KY, she was the youngest of eight children born to the late George and Thelma Hunt King and was preceded in death by her husband, Herschel E. Harris; her daughters, Regina Lynn Harris and Angula Webster; and six siblings. Pansy was a dedicated employee of Walmart for just shy of 25 years.  She was also a farmer and loved animals, especially her cows.  She enjoyed working puzzles and hunting for bargains at yardsales and peddlers' malls.  Most of all she cherished her family and being Granny to her grandchildren.

Pansy will be missed by her children, Emily Kay (Steven) Humpreys, Jerry Thomas (DeeDee) Harris, and Wayne "Frog" (Tammy) Harris; her partner of 43 years, Delbert Monhollen; ten grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; and her brother, Jackie King.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at Lighthouse Church on Thursday, April 11, 2024, from 11 am until 1 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with her grandson, Bro. Matt Harris presiding. Burial will be in Beechwood Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Beechwood Cemetery or Bluegrass Care Navigators Hospice.
