Pamela Rose Ferguson-Penick, born on April 26, 1959, passed away peacefully on November 29, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose vibrant spirit and zest for life touched the hearts of many.
Pamela was known for her free spirit and hard-working nature, always approaching life with enthusiasm and an unwavering love for her family and friends. Her passions were many, as she found joy in gardening, spending time with her children and grandchildren, cherishing the companionship of animals, and enjoying the great outdoors through camping trips. An avid music lover, Pamela took delight in attending concerts, and her culinary skills were unmatched, especially when it came to cooking breakfast and casseroles that brought loved ones together.
She is survived by her son, Richard Penick; her daughter, Amanda (Charles) Strange; and her cherished grandchildren, Juliann and Richard Strange. Pamela also leaves behind her sisters, Missy (Ricky) Mason and Michelle Oliver; her brothers, Tim (Wendy) Ferguson and Jason (Candy) Oliver; her close friend Dwayne Wahl; along with several nieces and nephews who will carry forward her memory and teachings.
Pamela was predeceased by her father, Granville Ferguson; her mother, Carolyn Tyre; and her sisters, Teresa Jacobs and Judy Buckland. The legacy of love and joy that she instilled in her family and friends will continue to shine brightly in their lives.
A Memorial Gathering will be held in honor of Pamela on December 7, 2025, at New Funeral Homes, located at 202 N. Main Street, PO Box 474, Owenton, KY 40359, starting at 12:00 PM and concluding at 2:00 PM. Following this, a Memorial Service will take place at the same location from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Memorial contributions may be made to Gallatin County Healthcare in Pamela's name.
