Pam Sawyer

Pam Sawyer, age 49, of Owenton, passed away Friday, July 30, 2021, in Grant County.

Pam was born July 4, 1972, in Cincinnati, OH, to the late Tom and Geraldine Wilson Rainey. Pam was a fun-loving, devoted friend, who never met a stranger, and was employed by Dana Manufacturing.  She enjoyed travel and vacationing, especially to Florida and Tennessee.  Most of all she loved her family and being Me-maw to her six grandchildren.

She will be missed by her husband, Shawn Sawyer; her children, Cody (Sarah) Mount, Shelby (Derek) Rudde, Josh (Rachel) Sawyer, and Joseph (Michelle) Sawyer; her grandchildren, Lucas, Reese, Raya, Jayden, Cameron, and Daisy; her siblings, Bob Rainey, Ora Stone, Tommy Rainey, and Dixie Gaskins; her mother-in-law, Linda Sawyer; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, August 6, 2021, from Noon until 3 pm. Funeral services will follow at 3 pm with Bro. David "Milkweed" Wotier presiding. Memorial contributions may be made to McDonald & New Funeral Homes in care of the family.
