Pam Tolbert Mertz

Pamela Tolbert Duncan Mertz, 47, of Owenton, passed away Tuesday Oct. 6, 2009 at her residence. Born October 23, 1961, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late James Tolbert and was preceded in death by her son Brian Scott Duncan, her brothers, Chris and Wayne Tolbert and her sister Virginia Tolbert. Pam was a homemaker and a member of South Fork Baptist Church. Pam is survived by her daughters, Amanda Michelle Duncan and Leslie (Joey) Duncan O’Banion, both of Owenton; five grandchildren, Madison and Haliegh Yancey and Katelyn, Olivia and Kylee O’Banion; her mother, Barbara Lykins Shepperson of Kansas City, MO; two sisters, Theresa Chandler of Owenton and Shelley Tolbert of Kansas City, MO; and two brothers, Timmy (Paulette) Tolbert of Owenton and Terry Tolbert o Clearwater, FL. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Visitation will be held at the Main Street location on Thursday, October 8, 2009 from 11am to 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family in care of the funeral home.
