Norma "Jean" Towles

Norma "Jean" Towles, age 80, of the Wheatley community passed away Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Bluegrass Hospice Care Center in Lexington.Born October 14, 1937 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Morris and Irene McMannis Joslin and preceded in death by her brothers, Johnny and Gerald "Bo" Joslin.  Jean was a longtime member of Dallasburg Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker and farmed with her husband.  She also worked for Fruit of the Loom, Dorman and Zuckermans.She is survived by her husband of over 61 years, Leslie Towles; her children, Debbie (Bobby Lee) Westrick and Craig (Aimee Sue) Towles; three grandchildren, Stacie, Corey and Austin; four great grandchildren, Cameron, Rileigh, Aiden and Langston; and her sister Brenda Breisacher.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.  McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements.  Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Friday, December 8, 2017 from 4-8 pm.  Funeral services will be held at 1pm Saturday at the funeral home with Bro. Tm Sperduto presiding.  Burial will be in the Wheatley Cemetery and memorial contributions may be made to Dallasburg Baptist Church
