Nora Wilson Wyrick

Nora Francis Wilson Wyrick, age 85, of Owenton, passed away Saturday, January 13, 2024, at her home, surrounded by her family.

Born December 31, 1938, in Lawrenceburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late William Wallace and Eula Corn Wilson.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Oscar W. Wyrick whom she married on January 14, 1967;  son, Oscar "Buck" Wyrick, Jr.; and her daughter, Becky Sue Ferguson; and her son-in-law, Mike Saradjian.  Nora was a dedicated member of El Bethel Christian Church for over 50 years. She was a gifted seamstress who worked for Union Underwear for many years. With her seamstress talents she also blessed her children with handmade prom and wedding dresses and even a tuxedo for her son.  Nora was also a devoted homemaker who loved gardening and being on her farm, where she worked beside her husband as a farmer, raising cattle and horses.

She will be deeply missed by her daughters, Brenda Saradjian, Linda Marston, Betsy (Mark) Steele, Amy (Steve) Jones, Karin (Chris) Duvall, and Tracy (James) Skinner; twelve grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and her siblings, Mae Bryan and James (Jeanie) Wilson.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at El Bethel Christian Church on Thursday, January 18, 2024, from 11 am until 1 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with Rev. Forrest Hahn officiating burial in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to El Bethel Christian Church.
