Nettie Kelly Gipson

Nettie Kelly Gipson, 80, passed away Wednesday, October 21, 2020 at Baptist Health - East in Louisville.

Born January 25, 1940, in Franklin County, KY, she was the daughter of the late Everett and Elizabeth Hall Kelly. She preceded in death by her children, Randy and Michelle Gipson and her grandson Zachary Vannoy. Nettie was a homemaker, with a beautiful voice, who enjoyed spending her time singing Christian songs. She also loved flower gardening, making homemade biscuits and being a "Nanny" to her grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Gipson; children, Donald Allen (Jodi) Gipson of Florence, IN,  Deena (Jay) Banez of Worthville,  Kimberly (Duane) Hall of Monterey, Wendy (Jorge) Morales Worthville; four siblings, Shirley Morton of Versailles, Barbara Mings of Mt. Sterling, Robert (Belinda) Kelly of Owenton, and Benny Kelly of Frankfort. She was also loved by 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Saturday, 24, 2020 from 11 am till 12:45PM.  This will be a pass thru visitation with masks and social distancing required. Graveside funeral services will follow at 1pm at the Monterey Cemetery.
