Nella Edna Perkins

Nella Edna Perkins, 87, passed away Sunday, August 23th, at the Carroll County Memorial Hospital. Born February 21, 1922, in Harlan County, she was the daughter of the late Austin and Bertha Clem Chasteen and was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. Nella was a Homemaker and a member of the Church of God. She is survived by three daughters, Evelyn Sue Taylor, Edith Gaskins and Rita Katherine Perkins of Owenton; one brother Bobby Chasteen of Harlan Co; 14 grandchildren; 34 great grandchildren and 17 great-great grandchildren. McDonald and New Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street Funeral Home on Wednesday from 11am-1pm. Funeral services will follow at 1pm with Bro. Curt Smith presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
