Naomi Parsons Collins

Naomi Lee Parsons Collins, age 94, of Owenton, passed away Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood.

Born August 23, 1926, in Vanceburg, KY, she was the daughter of the late Commodore D. and Emma Elizabeth Lucas Parsons.  She was the widow of Robert L. Collins. Naomi was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, quilting, and reading.  She also enjoyed spending time in the garden, raising flowers and vegetables.  She was a member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and the Owen County Homemakers, where she contributed to the community quilt that hangs at the library.

Naomi will be missed by her daughters, Kathy Collins of Owenton and Roberta "Bobbi" King of Paducah; her grandchildren, Shawn Achor, Sarah Bohrman, and Jamie King; as well as her brother, Terry Parsons.

McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. A graveside service will be held at 1pm on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to one's favorite charity in Naomi's memory.
