Nadine Stewart Goldsberry

Mrs. Nadine Stewart Goldsberry, age 93 of Owenton, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at the Owenton Center. Born October 5, 1924 in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Carrie Stewart and the widow of John W. Goldsberry. She was preceded in death by her son, John Dean Goldsberry and her sisters, Icey Stewart and Vivian Stadmiller. Nadine was a long time devoted member of Long Ridge Baptist Church where she was a choir member and helped in the nursery. She retired in 2007 from the Owen County PVA office, having worked well into her 80s. Nadine is survived by her grandsons, John Cole Goldsberry and Matthew Tyler Goldsberry; her daughter in law, Janet Clements Goldsberry and her nephew, Gary (Lynn) Bishop; her nieces, Phyllis Choina, Beverly Bell (Curtis) Smoot and Barbara Goldsberry Dean. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 from 10 am until 1 pm.
