Mildred Schooler Martin

Mildred Schooler Martin, 102, of Owenton, died Thursday June 18, 2009 at the Owenton Manor. Born November 1, 1906, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Thornley and Dora Edmunson Schooler and was preceded in death by her husband Guthrie Martin; her son, James Schooler Martin; her daughter Alfreda Martin; three brothers Ralph, Stanley and Norman Schooler; her sisters, Freda Wilson, and Rachael Schooler; her nephew Charles Schooler and several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She is survived by her Nephew Ron (Pam) Wilson of Cincinnati and her niece Brenda (Don) Coffman of Frankfort and one sister in law Mae Schooler of Frankfort. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street Location on Saturday, June 20th, from 11am-1pm. Funeral Services will follow at 1pm with Bro. Dale Adkins and Bro. Jesse Bourne officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church or the Owen County Friends of Animals.
