Michael Joseph Crowley

Michael Joseph Crowley, age 85, of Owenton, passed away Monday, December 2, 2013 at the Owenton Manor. Born June 14, 1928 in County Cork, Ireland, he was the son of the late Mary Crowley. He was also preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Baird and his great niece Rebekah Gaines. Mr. Crowley was a thoroughbred horse trainer all his life and a proud sunshine volunteer at the Owenton Manor. Surviving are his sons, Allen Dean (Donna) Baird of Ellsworth, IL, Michael Gene (Tori) Miles of San Diego, CA; his daughters, Laura (Greg) Crowley Smoot of Owenton and Linda (Chad) Crowley Volkers of Knoxville, TN; three grandchildren, Siobian (Gary) Jones, Joshua Snow of Lexington and Joseph (Jessica) Snow of Independence; and his great niece Kathryn (Matt) Tate of Owenton. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Beka's Toppers. The family plans a private memorial service in the spring.
