Michael James Clark

Michael James "Mike" Clark, age 68, of Monterey, passed away Friday, November 18, 2022, at the VA Hospital in Lexington, KY.

An Owen County native nearly all of his life, Mike was born on February 26, 1954, in Owenton, KY to the late Frank Edward and Jean Catherine Wess Clark.  He graduated from Owen County High School and served four years in the United States Navy, and another two years in the Navy Reserves, before returning home to take over the family farm. Mike was a principled man and dedicated farmer who put everything he had into everything he did. He loved his land and took great pride in raising his sons, Adam and Chasse.

He is survived by his sons, Adam (Natalie) Clark and Chasse Clark; his daughter, Chastity Slone; his long-time partner, Linda Montague; brother, Chip Clark; sisters, Sally Dean and Elinor Clark-McGill; and his grandchildren, Arthur and Marley Clark and Ethan Asher.

New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Friday, December 2, 2022, from 11 am until 1 pm.  Funeral services will follow at 1 pm with burial and military honors in the Monterey Cemetery.
