Michael Joe Ashcraft

Michael Joe Ashcraft, age 19, of the Switzer community in Franklin County, passed away Friday, August 26, 2016 at the University of Kentucky. Born February 7, 1997 in Lexington, KY, Michael attended Owen County schools and was a graduate of Franklin County High School. He was currently a sophomore at Kentucky State University where he was majoring in forensic science. He leaves behind his parents, William "Billy" and Edna Meadows Ashcraft; his sisters, Brandy Hosley and Brittany Ashcraft; his grandmothers, Barbara Meadows and Patricia Ashcraft and his aunt and uncles, Kelly (Christine) Meadows, Frances (Jeremy) Goetz, Joey Ashcraft and Kim Arvin. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Private family services will be held at a later date.
