Melvin K. Brooks

Mr. Melvin K. Brooks, of Owen County passed away Thursday, August 23, 2012 at his home. Born April 20, 1934, in Harrison County, KY, he was the son of the late M.K. And Zodie Wright Brooks. He was also preceded in death by his 7 siblings. Mr. Brooks was a farmer, a member of the Baptist Faith and a former Real Estate Broker. Surviving is his wife, Judy Neal Brooks. He is also survived by his brother in law, his sister in law and several nieces and nephews. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Saturday, August 25, 2012 from 10am until Noon. Funeral services will follow at Noon wit Bro. Jesse Bourne presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. For memorial contributions, the family asks that you visit a sick, elderly or lonely person of your choice.
