Melborn Gray

Melborn Gray, 67, of Owenton, died Friday, January 23, 2009 at the VA Medical Center in Lexington. Born December 18, 1940 in Bath Co., he was the son of the late Clifford and Millie Peach Traylor Gray. Mr. Gray was employed by the Owen County Fiscal Court with the County Road Department and attended Bethel Baptist Church. Mr. Gray is survived by his wife, Ruth Anne Prather Gray; three sons, Richard Gray of Carrollton; Tony Traylor of Frankfort and Richard Traylor of Owenton; one daughter, June Burford of Carrollton; Two brothers, Bobby (Janice) Gray of Stamping Ground and Clayton (Jane) Gray of Lexington; three sisters, Ellsie (Billy) Rogers of West Liberty, Alice Gray of Winchester and Dorothy (Donald) Miles of Mt. Sterling. Seven Grandchildren also survive, Justin, Chris, Shelby, Sadie, Hailey, Wyatt and Lucas. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Main Street location on Tuesday, January 27th, from 4-8 pm. Funeral Services will be held at 2pm Wednesday at the funeral home with Bro. Darrin Wolford and Bro. Kevin Miles officiating. Burial will be in Gray Farm Family Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to funeral expenses.
