Mary Elizabeth Wyatt

Mary Elizabeth Wyatt, 85, passed away Friday November 25, 2011 at the Frankfort Regional Medical Center. She was born in Owen County the daughter of the late Lawrence and Mae Estes Howard. She was also preceded in death by her husband Rev. Lee Wyatt and her brother Murrel Howard. Mrs. Wyatt was a retired teacher, member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and the Owen Co. Retired Teachers. She received her Masters from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. She also was a graduate of Georgetown College where she was a member of the Sigma Kappa Sorority and the Women’s Association. Surviving are a son, Michael Howard Wyatt of Tampa, FL, a daughter, Elizabeth Lee “Libby” Wyatt of Hampton, VA, one brother, J.W. Howard of Frankfort and five grandchildren, Jon, Whitney, Nick, Jesse and Jackson. McDonald & New Funeral Homes are in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location on Sunday, November 27th from 5 to 8pm. Funeral services will at 2pm Mon. with Bro. David Wotier presiding. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church.
