Mary Francis Wilson, a devoted homemaker and beloved family member, was born on June 8, 1954, in Carrollton, Kentucky. She passed away peacefully on November 14, 2025, at the age of 71.
Mary's life was filled with love for her family. She took immense pride in being a grandmother and great-grandmother, cherishing the moments spent with her grandchildren: Kameron (Dedra) Wilson, Emmalee (Brandon) Inglis, Abbygale Wilson, Jordan Schlueter, Austin Wilson, Aleah Wilson, and her great-grandchildren: Brayven Inglis, Emersyn Wilson, and Blake Inglis. Her son, John (Leslee) Wilson, was a source of joy and pride for her. She is also survived by her siblings; Eddie (Dottie) Wright, JW (Linda) Wright, Linda Lewis, Barbara (Larry) Moore, and Don Wright.
Throughout her life, Mary was known for her joyful spirit and her creativity. She enjoyed frequenting yard sales with her husband, Jimmy Wilson, with whom she shared a deep bond with. Mary also had a talent for making bracelets featuring the 23rd Psalm, which she lovingly gave to others as tokens of her faith and kindness. Christmas was a holiday she particularly loved, and she made it special for her family every year.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Jimmy Wilson, her father, JT Wright, her mother, Helen Davis Wilson, and her brother, Paul Wright.
A visitation in honor of Mary will take place on November 19, 2025, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at New Funeral Homes, located at 202 N. Main Street, PO Box 474, Owenton, KY 40359. Her funeral service will follow the visitation, beginning at 2:00 PM and concluding at 3:00 PM on the same day at the same location.
Mary Francis Wilson will be remembered for her loving heart, generous spirit, and devotion to her family and friends. Her legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
Memorial contributions may be made to the New Liberty Baptist Church or the New Liberty Volunteer Fire Department.
