Mary Nell Skirvin

Mary Nell Skirvin, age 90, of Warsaw, passed away Sunday, June 5, 2011 at the home of her son. Born September 19, 1920, in Carroll County, she was the daughter of the late Jack and Grace Jackson Skirvin and the widow of George Skirvin. She was also preceded in death by her daughter Kathy Skirvin and her brother Raymond Skirvin. She was a graduate of Sanders High School. Mary Nell and her husband owned and operated Skirvin Garage for many years. She was also a dedicated member of the Warsaw Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher for 55 years. Mary Nell is survived by her son, Gary (Sandy) Skirvin of Warsaw; six grandchildren, Brandl Skirvin, Stephanie McCord, Seth Skirvin, Sam Hollis, Allie Skirvin and Chad Sorrels; eight grandchildren, Mason & Maxwell McCord, Alexis Marsh, Austin Marsh, Isabella Skirvin, Elijah & Emmett Skirvin and Syera Hollis. Two nieces, Mary Lee Keeton and Rhonda Michael also survive. Garnett-New-McDonald Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Family will receive friends from 4-8pm Tuesday at the funeral home. Funeral services will be 10am Wednesday with Bro. Tim Scott presiding. Burial will be in the Warsaw Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Warsaw Baptist Church.
