Mary Kathleen Hawkins

Mary Kathleen Hawkins, 70, of Owenton, passed away Sunday, December 6th at the St. Elizabeth Hospital in Florence. Born March 2, 1939, in Owen County, she was the daughter of the late Park and Arleine Perkins and was preceded in death by her siblings, Garland Perkins and Margaret Yancey. Mrs. Hawkins was a retired Nurse’s Aide at the Owen County Memorial Hospital; a homemaker and a member of the El Bethel Christian Church. She is survived by her husband Lawrence Ray Hawkins of Owenton; two sons, Larry Ray (Ann) Hawkins and Ricky Dale Hawkins of Owenton; two grandchildren Kathleen M. Hawkins and Arlena M. Hawkins and one great grandchild Mercedes Hawkins. Arrangements are being handled by McDonald & New Funeral Homes. Family will receive friends at the Seminary Street location, Thursday, December 10th, from 10am until 2pm. Funeral services will follow at 2pm with Bro. Keith Miller and Bro. David “Milkweed” Wotier officiating. Burial will be in the Owenton Cemetery.
